A
- Tells you if insulin is changing i.e. rising or falling and how quickly
- Can check before you drive
- Can set to give you alarms if too high or low

What is the 500 rule?
A
- Only used in basal and bolus regime
- Bolus insulin given as a ratio of units to grams of CHO
- 1 unit for 10g CHO, calculated by 500 divided by total daily amount of insulin

A
- Dose adjustment for normal eating
* course given to those with T1DM
