Carry blood away from heart
What do the veins do?
Carry blood towards heart.
Why do veins have valves?
To stop blood flowing back down to the bottom of the body due to gravity
What do the capillaries do?
Carry blood through organs and tissue

Biconcave
What is blood made up of and percentages of the components

What are the two types of white blood cell?
Phagocytes and Lymphocytes
What does a phagocyte do?
Destroy and engulf bacteria which cause disease
What do lymphocyte do?
Use antibodies to stick the harmful bacteria together so easier for phagocytes
