-extends from Ligurian Sea in west to foothills of Appenine Mountains in east
Tuscany Climate
- dry, maritime-influenced climate, winters can be harsh and summers can be long and hot, many mesoclimates
- Montalcino is typically more arid
- Montepulciano, further inland, more continental climate.
