A

Mary was a threat to Elizabeth so she was imprisoned and moved from castle to castle for 19 years before being caught plotting against Elizabeth and executed.

1. He heard that the next in line to the English throne, a fellow catholic, was executed. 2. The Spanish Netherlands (now known as Belgium and luxembourg) were rebelling and were being helped by England. 3. England had been stealing goods from their ships for years and had set fire to some.

1. The weather was bad 2. They had bad tactics 3. They were spotted immediately and England knew they were coming ages before they arrived. 4. Their ships were too big and flashy which made them slow and an easy target.
