Mary I was originally going to spare her but her father began working with the rebels so she became a threat to the throne, and so she was executed.

She tried to create a middle way where the country was still protestant but there were catholic aspects in the church.

No, devout protestants and devout catholics were upset because they wanted it to be their way so Elizabeth decided to just make the country Protestant and punish Catholics.
What was a Labourer?
Lower class workers who would often work and live in towns.
What was a merchant?
Merchants in the middle ages were business people who participated in retail and trade. They were upper class, just below gentlemen and made money from buying and selling
What was a gentleman?
The Gentlemen were the richest people below the king and had big houses with lots of land.
