Bear or bull tied to a post and attacked by a pack of dogs. Cocks or chickens would be forced to attack each other after having beaks sharpened and metal blades attached to their legs

Two people took turns hitting each other with a very heavy stick

Two people took turns to kick each other as hard as they could

Actors travelled from village to village acting out well-known stories or plays also acrobats jugglers musicians and puppeteers
Football
A pigs bladder filled with sawdust and peas, kicked carried and thrown across between two villages. Winning team was the one that got the ball into the centre of the other village fairs - a large noisy market with goods to buy food to eat and entertainment to watch.
