Q
How do tropical storms form?
A
1- warm sea temperatures cause air to be heated and rise under low pressure
2- as air rise, it draws up moisture form the ocean
3- the Coriolis effect causes air to spin upwards around the eye
4-rising air cools and condenses, forming cumulonimbus clouds, generate torrential rainfall
5- cool air sinks into the eye, creating calmer conditions
6- the storm travels by prevailing winds, loosing energy at land
