oceans at 27 degrees, the warm air rises, the warm air starts to spin anti-clockwise from the northern hemisphere, the air cools and condenses, the air creates an area of low pressure, the low pressure sucks in air creating strong winds

when a tropical storm reaches land it loses energy because of friction
the eye is the center where there is the least destruction
