A

It’s an attempt to communicate with go without use of words
Doesn’t just demand speaking on the part of the person but also demands listening

Comes from the heart and reflects how the person is feeling
People believe it to be more sincere
Spirit that guides people on what to say
Said suddenly without format

Been passed down
Examples - Lord’s Prayer, Hail Mary
Already have words and structure - people are upset they can use familiar words so this could comfort them
