god is perfect
fullness of existence, completion, or the absence of any potential need. no limitations, god lacks nothing
god is pure spirit
god is not a material being. all of creation is a sign of his presence. he cannot be somewhere physically but he is present at all times in all places
god is immutable
god has always existed god is the pure act of being and does not change
god is eternal
there is no beginning and no end to god. He has always been meaning he is not contingent
god is all loving
gods works are always good. creation is a reflection of gods goodness. god is motivated by love.
god is omniscient
god is all knowing. he knows our thoughts desires and intentions
god is omnipotent
god is all powerful. he created the world from nothing. he has power over all things
immanent
god is present within us at all times
transcendent
god is beyond comprehension of human beings
immanent trinity
gods inner life and how god exists in god
salvific trinity
how god interacts with us outside of himself the inseparable work of the trinity in salvation history
the father
first person of the trinity without origin. begets the son. son proceeded from the father. father and son relationship for all eternity
the son
. fathers perfect divine expression of himself. they are one yet distinct. he is true god and consubstantial with the father he is. begotten and proceeds from the father
the holy spirit
father and the son is perfect relationship they love each other perfectly. the love that proceeds from the father and son is the third person of the trinity - the holy spirit. it is the spirit of love between the father and the son. consubstantial with the father and son
