It’s actually a branch of mandibular division of 5 th nerve and it arises after exiting f.ovale but re enters skull thru f spinosum along with MMA and supplies meninges of ant and middle fossa

First division of 5 th nerve, some evidence of upper part of cornea by the said above and lower part by second division of fifth nerve.. (maxillary nerve)
