Q

What is the signs of Tricuspid Regurgitation on inspection?

A

Raised JVP with giant V waves (which may oscillate the earlobes)
This is caused by transmission of high right ventricular pressures into the great veins
Giant A waves may also be present

Q

What would you see on an ECG for Tricuspid Regurgitation?

A

P Pulmonale - due to right atrial hypertrophy

17
Q

What would you see on a CXR for Tricuspid Regurgitation?

A

Right-sided enlargement of cardiac shadow

18
Q

What would you see on an Echocardiography for Tricuspid Regurgitation?

A

Extent of regurgitation can be estimated using Doppler US

May show valve prolapse and right ventricular dilation
