What is a Trial?
It is a difficult situation or challenge that tests someone’s character or faith.
What is a Temptation?
The desire to do something wrong or against ones moral principles and often leads to sin.
What are some of the Trials and Temptations that are present in Genesis 39:1-10; the story of Joseph and Potiphar’s wife?
- Potiphar’s wife forced herself upon Joseph which is a trial since it was testing whether he would give in.
- Potiphar’s wife was tempted to lie and blame Joseph, saying that he was the one who forced himself upon her.
- Potiphar was tempted to throw Joseph into prison
What are the Temptations that Jesus faced in the Desert?
- Turning stones into bread
- Throw himself down
- Worship the devil
What are the Types of Temptations?
- Physical Temptation
- Temptation of power and worldly authority
- Temptation of pride and testing God

What is Favouritism?
When you treat people unfairly and unequally
What is a good example from the Bible of Favouritism?
The story of Joseph and his brothers. Their father favoured Joseph over all the others and made it clear.
What effects can Favouritism have on a person?
It can cause someone to have deep hatred for the person who is being favoured, which can eventually lead to them doing something wrong.
