Q

OHTS Risk Factors

A
  1. Higher IOP
  2. Older Age
  3. Large Cup-Disc Ration

Q

OHTS 4 Implications

A
  1. Tx of mod-High risk pt e.g. IOP>26 % CCT <555 = 36% progress at 5 years.
    IOP at 24 - only 12%
  2. Need for multiple VF
  3. Pachymetry is important.
  4. Phaco & IOL can achieve IOP reduction.

Q

EMGT Results?

A

reduction of 25% IOP
Progression Tx = 45% vs Control 65%
Each 1mmHg drop = 10% less risk of progression.

Q

EMGT Risk Factors, Baseline and post Tx

A

Baseline: IOP>20, PSD>4, bilateral disease PXF

Post Tx: Disc Haemorrhage, less reuduction in IOP, higher mean IOP.

Q

EMGT Implications

A

First study to show that decreasing IOP reduced progression.
Each 1 mmHG is associated with lower risk of progression.
