Anne Hutchinson. Born in England in 1591. 1 of 13 kids. father was a rebellious pastor of the Anglican Church. Believed male and female kids deserved a rigorous and spiritual upbringing. has 15 kids of her own. 3 die in plague in 1630. Begins to lead conventicles. believed she was getting direct revelations from God. her trial began 1637. no lawyer. convicted of countenancing and encouraging the sowers of sedition. Excommunicated and sentenced to banishment. her, her husband, and 80 followers leave the next spring for Narragansett Bay.
