Q

Identify the expected wait times for each category and define each

A

CAT 1 - Immediate → obstructed airway, resp distress, haemodynamic compromise, GCS <8

CAT 2 - 10min → patent airway with moderate resp distress, moderate haemodynamic compromise, GCS 9-12

CAT 3 - 30 min → resp distress and haemodynamic compromise is mild, GCS >13 with moderate pain

CAT 4 - 60min → patent airway + no resp distress or haemodynamic compromise, normal GCS with mild pain

CAT 5 - 120min → airway patent with no resp distress or haemodynamic compromise, no pain or neurovascular compromise
