- learning has a end goal (how do we find out how to do something? we go to youtube)
- the capacity to know
- knowing where to find info
- learning happens in many different ways (ex:courses, email, web search etc)

what is the half life knowledge? what is it measured in?
A
- the amount of knowledge in the world has doubled in the past 10 years and is doubling every 18 months
- the life time of knowledge is measured in months not years

What is informal learning?
A
- when learning happens outside of your school and in your community
- you learn from places other than school

what do we, as teachers, invest in? and how much?
A
you don’t need to know everything about technology you just need to know where to find it and how to use it

what are social/personal learning networks? what happens outside the classroom?
A
- SLN is an evolving peer learning process
- the learner becomes the teacher
- SELF DIRECTED LEARNING
- students regularly access blogs, web sites, YouTube channels to keep current about their interests and activities so they can use those same practices in the classroom
