They couldn’t afford reparations, lost pride, colonies, didn’t accept defeat and suffered an economic crisis.

It caused a lot of resentment which led to trouble in the future.

Name three reasons the Treaty of Versailles might be considered fair.
Millions had been killed and the war had been costly. Someone had to pay. People wanted to see Germany punished. It was felt it might prevent German aggression in the future.

Germany was not entirely to blame, the punishments were too harsh, the caused problems for the future, people suffered a great deal.
