A

david Lloyd george wanted to end the german threat to the british empire he also wanted to reduce the german navy (100,000) and to reduce the threat to the british navy but he didn’t want to humiliate them.

the usa never became a member , japan and italy eventually left, and germany joined in 1926 but left in 1933
it could’ve stop japan invading china in 1931
it couldn’t stop italy invading abyssinia in 1935
it couldn’t stop germany expanding territory in europe between 1936 and 1939
