A
\++Excessive vagal (parasympathomimetic) stimulation:
-Carotid sinus massage
-Vomiting/gagging
-Valsalva maneuvers
-Eyeball pressure
-Administration of 
 parasympathomimetic drugs

Digitoxin toxicity

Hyperkalemia (slow depolarization)

A

BB or CCB (diltiazem, verapamil)

doFETilide amiodarone

Warfarin

If stable but symptomatic: IV bolus + drip

If unstable/hemocompromised

  • Synchronized cardioversion
  • Heparin drip will be included

Catheter ablation or Maze

A

Vagal maneuvers
-Valsalva (most effective)
Hold breath 10-15 seconds (NVD) then resume breathing

Coughing

Carotid sinus massage

ADENOSINE IV PUSH
-followed by rapid NS flush

If nothing works: Cardioversion
