What is the treatment of Acute Coronary Syndrome?
A
BEMOAN
B-blocker
Enoxiparin
Morphine
Oxygen
ASA
Nitroglycerine
OR
1) ABCs–> O2 to keep sats > 95%, IV’s, inotropes, if hemodynamically unstable consider balloon pump
2) Pain control- nitro ( spray 0.4 mg SL q5min x3)
- morphine 2-4 mg q5-15 min prn
3) Clot control -
- antiplatlet- ASA
- Anticoagulation- LMWH (enoxiparin)
4) Rate control (goal 50-55 with normal activity)
- B blocker–> NOT IV –> metoprolol 25mg PO BID
or
non-dihydropyridine CCB–> diltiazem 30-120mg po QID
5)Lipid control- simvistatin 40mg PO QD or atorvistatin 80mg PO QD
