A

Antibiotics are used commonly to treat bacterial infections where they kill or inhibit the growth of bacteria by targeting their cell walls or metabolic pathways. They are not effective against other pathogens. (Antibiotics only treat Bacteria)

A

In 1928, the first antibiotic was discovered and it was called penicillium. It was extracted from penicillium mould.

What are some negatives if antibiotics?

A

Bacteria can become resistant to antibiotics which typically results from a course of antibiotics not being completed. Additionally they only work for certain bacterial species and strands.
