What are the physiological signs which require immediate transport to the nearest major trauma centre?
GCS <14 (Motor lower that “withdraws from pain”)
Systolic Blood Pressure <90mmHg
If airway and catastrophic haemorrhage can safely be managed and the MTC can be reached within 60 minutes.
What are the anatomical signs which require immediate transport to a major trauma centre?
Penetrating injury Chest injury with altered physiology Two proximal long bone fracture Crushed, mangled or Degloved extremity Amputation (proximal to wrist/ankle) Pelvic fracture Open or depressed skull fracture Sensory or motor deficit
