What are the 3 reasons plants need transport systems?
A
Metabolic demands - glucose for non-photosynthesising parts of the plant, minerals absorbed in the roots.
Size - perennial plants are very tall
SA:V - plants have small ones so they can’t rely on simple diffusion alone.
