A

it is a passive process, not requiring energy because it moves down concentration gradient

what affects diffusion

A

temperature - heat energy is transferred to kinetic energy which means particles move faster from high to low
surface area - increase in surface area means more space for diffusion of particles
a steep concentration gradient - big difference of particles mean that rate movement is faster
