Do you have to multiply before you add in PEMDAS?
NO… just do whatever comes first from LEFT to RIGHT
What is the difference between an expression and an equation?
An equation has an equal sign and can be SOLVED.. an expression does not have an equal sign in it, it can only be evaluated or simplified
How do you multiply fractions?
It’s fun! It’s the easiest one. Just multiply across the top and bottom
How do you divide fractions?
It’s Flippin Fun… Just flip and then have fun
(flip the second one and then multiply across!)
How do you add or subtract fractions?
BOOTY! You have to make sure they have the same booty, then you keep the booty and add or subtract the numerators
What if fractions don’t have the same booty?
MULTIPLY THEM BY 1
This will change how they look, but not their value.
