transistor Flashcards
What are the Differences Between Bipolar Junction Transistor and Field Effect
Transistor?
- The Bipolar Junction Transistors have Low noise level, while the Field Effect
Transistors have a High noise level.
what is FET?
Field Effect Transistor
what is BJT?
Bipolar Junction Transistor
what is the two main type of transistor?
BJT and FET
what do you called the three terminals in transistor?
emitter, base, and
collector.
what is transistor?
its an electronic component that used in circuits for either amplifying or swtiching electrical signals
this part of the transistor is on the left side of it. It is moderately sized and
doped heavily.
Emitter
this segment is placed at the center of the transistor. It is thin and doped lightly
Base
this element is on the right side of the transistors. It is bigger than the emitter
and is doped moderately.
Collector
they are pulled
across the junction into the electric field’s collector due to the ions’ depletion.
Reverse Biased Collector-Base Junction
These emitter electrons (holes) grow minority carriers in the base; though, as the base
is narrow, much little electron-hole recombination happens in the base, and these
electrons (holes) are moved towards the collector-base junction.
Forward Biased Base-Emitter Junction
its a current controlled device
consisting of two PN junctions for its function.
Bipolar Junction Transistor
its a voltage-controlled devices, opposite
to the BJT, which are current-controlled devices.
