Q

Causes of secondary brain injury

A

Hypotension, hypoxia, systemic inflammation, hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, hypercapnia, hyperthermia, electrolyte and acid-base imbalance = all causes an increase in ICP, cerebral edema, and neuronal death.
