Part 1: Education, responsibilites & achievements, spare time activities, employment.
Part 2: Motivation to join, MIOT, Specialist training (Phase 2), components of ‘air power’, UK/Overseas stations, Aircraft roles and types, role of the RAF and Nato, Overseas locations, current operations, current affairs (2x home, 2x abroad).

What happens in the Exercise phase of OASC?
discussion (round table exercise), planning exercise, leaderless & command situation.
What happens in the interview phase of OASC?
Motivation and awareness - 12 minutes, motivation for joining the RAF, knowledge of branch, training and wider RAF.
What happens in the Competencies assessment of OASC?
Confidence and resilience (self assurance, composure, perseverance, assertion).
Oral communications (delivery, effectiveness, listening)
Influence (impact on others, directing)
Problem solving (comprehension, planning and solution, reassessment).

2 years, RAF valley, initially flying Texan.

10 months, RAF Cranwell, flying Phenom.
