What is merchandising?
Merchandising is the art of staging a store to encourage consumers to purchase more product.
What is category management?
Category management is a business strategy whereby manufacturers work with retailers to develop joint plans to optimize the sales of the total category.
What is shelf merchandising?
Providing what the customer wants, simplifying the buying process to stimulate the shopper to buy.
What is the purpose of assortment changes?
Removing discontinues or poor performing products to make room for new items coming to market and to update flow of items on shelf.

Smallest Full Variety
The planogram built that does not contain all of the items that you would see in the facings across planogram.
Less than Full Variety
Contains smallest full variety items with expanded facings to complete planogram footage.
Larger than Full Variety
Used for regular cycle work. Keeps the link between the new pog and the original pog. The DBkey will not match the DB version key showing the link between the two pogs.
Version
Used to initially create store specific pogs, pole pogs, test pogs, floating pogs, etc. Breaks the link between the new pog and the original pog. Must be assigned to a floor plan by floor planning.
