What is teversibility?
Gradually losing fitness instead of progressing or remaining at the current level. This can occur when a person is ill or injured.
What is progressive overload?
this can occur when a person is ill or injured. A weight lifter looking to improve their strength in the gym may lift 80kg for 10 reps in week 1. Then increase that weight to 82.5kg in week 2.
What are individual needs?
Personal fitness needs based on age, gender, fitness level and the sport for which they are training for. a first-time marathon runner using an experienced marathon runner’s training programme (Mo Farah). They would not have the levels of fitness or experience to benefit for it.
What is specifity?
The particular requirements of an activity.Specificity in football might mean concentrating on cardiovascular fitness or speed.
What is FITT?
Training principle based on frequency, intensity, time and type. How oftenm hard long and the method.
What is overtraining?
Training principle based on frequency, intensity, time and type. Athletes often exercise longer and harder so that they can improve. However, without adequate rest and recovery, this can backfire and actually make you performance worse.
