First most basic law
Obey lights and signs.

Obey directions of law enforcer even if it goes against laws and signs.
Third most basic law
Don’t drive on a closed road.
When should you yield right of way?
When you are preventing a crash.
You are at an intersection and have a stop sign.
You should yield right of way to others.
Two vehicles come to an intersection at the same time.
The vehicle on the left should yield to the vehicle on the right.
4 way intersection where all drivers have stop signs.
Yield to pedestrians, or proceed in a first come first serve manner.
Making a left turn.
Yield to all traffic from the opposite direction.
Yield sign?
Slow down and be prepared to stop, if necessary, stop and proceed when it is safe to do so.
The roadway you are on is merging into other traffic/
Adjust vehicle speed and position and allow your vehicle to merge into the other traffic.
If other vehicles are merging into your roadway.
Try to move to another road, otherwise adjust speed and position to allow other vehicles to safely merge.
Traffic light is green but there is traffic at the intersection.
Wait until the traffic subsides before proceeding.
You are crossing into a roadway.
Yield right of way to those already on that roadway.
Emergency vehicle comes with blue and red sirens.
Maneuver vehicle out of the way to the shoulder of the road or as far right of the roadway as you can.
Highway maintenance vehicles and construction workers?
Yield to them
Red light?
Can make a right turn or left turn on it unless a sign prohibits it. Stop to yield all traffic/ pedestrians and make the turn when safe to do so.
School bus.
Flashing yellow lights- slow down and prepare to stop, red lights and stop sign- unlawful to pass the bus, highway with median, cars on the opposite side of stopped school bus can still continue driving
Passing Zone?
Striped line to the right of the centerline on the roadway, solid line isn’t a passing zone. Need enough time and space to move over to the right lane before passing zone ends, entering an intersection, or traffic is within 200 ft of your vehicle.
