PRI Handoff
Channels served to the customers PBX over existing bandwidth, max 24 channels(call Paths) can have as many numbers as they want but only 23 calls at once. The limit is in the IAD Internet –> IAD –> PBX
PBX
Private Branch Exchange system that controls all internal extensions and calls. Controls call routing, VM, auto-attendants and other features
Premise PBX
– A PBX that resides at the customer location. NetCarrier traditional products provide these systems access to the PSTN.
nCloud Connect PBX
NetCarrier’s PBX software service. This service is hosted and maintained in NetCarrier’s cloud as opposed to the customer premise.
IAD-equipment
Converts Internet traffice to voice traffic
SIP trunk
Session Initiation Protocol-connect endpoints together for voice/video communications over IP or internet connections as opposed to TDM(Time Division Multiplexing) phone lines.
LAN
Local Area Network, customers internal network. Typically described as everything behind the firewall.
WAN
Wide Area Network, external network
Analog Handoff
Outisde internet to the IAD, once the IAD is put in NC is done
