paperwork for carrier detailing type, quantity, and destination
What is the front part of the truck called?

Nose is the front of the trailer and tail is the back of it

What is a trailer seal?
Seal that is given and identification number and goes on the back of truck doors that ensures the contents are not tampered with.
What does TQL require all reefers to have?
An air chute (allows for proper air distribution)
What is a Carrier?
trucking company that is legally allowed to move freight
What is a Owner/Operator?
Self-employed commercial driver
What is a fleet carrier?
company owning 10k+ trucks
What is an MC#?
unique # assigned to each carrier company
What does Yellow mean in the ‘Today’ section of loads?
load has not been covered/booked with a carrier
What does the color Red represent in the ‘Today’ load section?
booked, but not yet dispatched; sent rate confirmation but not pickup/delivery info
What does the color Tan mean?
load has been dispatched with pickup and delivery info, but load has not been picked up…**Needs check call
What does green mean?
load has been picked up
What does red mean in the ‘dispatched’ section?
Needs location check and check call (find out if arrived at shipper/receiver and if loaded or MT)
What does black mean?
load is delivered
What does white mean?
future loads, check with broker for info
What does blue mean?
“flagged load” - something is wrong or needs further action

How long can a driver be on duty?
14 hours - 11 hours of driving time and 3 hours to load/unload
