What is the endothroacic fascia and it’s function?
CT layer that functions to prevent the parietal pleura from rubbing against the innermost intercostal muscle. Over the apex = SIBSON’s
What is the cupula?
The area of the parietal pleura reflected over the apex of the lung
Costodiaphragmatic recess is at what level?

Which is sensitive to pain: parietal pleura or visceral?
Parietal pleura. Visceral is not sensitive to pain
Where is the cardiac notch?
CC 4,5,6
Structures anterior to the trachea include…?
sternum, thymus, arch of the aorta, orgins of the brachiocephalic trunk and left common carotid artery.
What is the relationship of the left main chronus
It passes lto the left below the arch of the aorta and in front of the esophagus
The blood supply to the bronchi are how many on the left and how many on the right?
Two on the left via the thoracic aorta. and one on the right from the first posterior intercostal artery
Where is the transverse sinus?
Behind the aorta and pulmonary trunk and in front of the left atrium and superior vena cava
Where is the oblique sinus?
Btwn pulmonary veins and inferior vena cava.

Phernic nerve.
Posteriorly, where does the heart extend from?
T6-T9
The apex of the heart is at what CC?
CC 6
What are the relationships of the cardiac plexus?
ANTERIOR to the bifurcation of the trachea, POSTERIOR to the aortic Arch, and SUPERIOR to the bifurcation of the pulmonary trunk
