why was the TOV fair
- germany had caused it own economic problems
- many people felt that germany was operating a double standard
what was hyperinflation
the government solved the problem by simply printing out more money but this then caused hyperinflation.
The money was worthless so prices shot up
wages were even paid daily instead of weekly

looking back the treaty helped to create the cruel nazi regime in germany causing ww2
reasons why USA did not want to
- it would enfore the treaty that many americans hated
- could cause to send US soilders to settle every little conflict
- sanctions could be imposed causing suffering to american trade and business

they were afraid because they felt that if they disarmed they would become vulnerable and the couldnt trust other countries

germany was very weak and their leaders were unable to do anything so they elected HItler who was not good for international peace

the USA was unwilling to help becuase economic sanctions would make the economy worse

the depression threatend to bankrupt Japan. the usa was their main export for good but the usa was buying less so they had to build an empire and invade manchuria
what was the manchuria crisis
In the 1930s there was a world-wide economic depression. Japan tried to overcome the depression by building up an empire.
In 1932, the Japanese army invaded Manchuria and threw out the Chinese.
what did the LON do in the manchuria crisis
it took them a year to get there (slow and innefective)
the league could not agree on sanctions and could not ban weapons becuase britian and france did not want to start war

the conference failed because they found resolutions that were good but they didnt have a plan to acheive it
why did dissarment fail
it failed for germany because eventually Hitler took germany out of the LON and withdrew from the dissarmment conference
the LON should have pushed harder for the agreements but they had no plan so they failed

a secret pact between a british and french forgin secretary which decided to give italy 2/3 of abysinnia but it got leaked
