the major powers agreed that germany had to pay repreations to the allies for the damage caused.

internationsal police force was set up
germany coudlnt join the league until it was a peace-loving country

it was simple but the germans saw it as extremely harsh
they had to accept the blame for starting war
why was the TOV unfair
- the war guilt
- germany didnt have a say
- selfish
- colonies hurt the german people most not leaders
- economic collapse
why was the TOV fair
- germany had caused it own economic problems
- many people felt that germany was operating a double standard
what was hyperinflation
the government solved the problem by simply printing out more money but this then caused hyperinflation.
The money was worthless so prices shot up
wages were even paid daily instead of weekly
TOV in hindsight
looking back the treaty helped to create the cruel nazi regime in germany causing ww2
reasons why USA did not want to
- it would enfore the treaty that many americans hated
- could cause to send US soilders to settle every little conflict
- sanctions could be imposed causing suffering to american trade and business
- ## the league would be dominated by britian and france

- discourage agression from any nation
- encourage countries to co-operate
- encourage nations to disarm
- improve working and living conditions
