what is an itinerary?
also known as a tour plan , it is a detailed account of a clients proposed travel including accommodation , sightseeing and transport
what are the tree steps tourists follow when planning to go on a tour?

Define logical tour planning
when tourists plan a journey in a way to work within a budget, travel periods and allow enough time to travel to different destinations
what is a scheduled tour?
tour that has been planned to particular place for a specific time

the GENERAL and the PERSONALISED itinerary
Describe GENERAL itinerary
this itinerary is put together by a travel agent or a tour operator , consisting of popular destinations ,that attract allot of people .the itinerary is presented as an attractive package to the public through newspapers ,radio ,pamphlets’ etc.
Describe PERSONALISED itinerary
it is an itinerary prepared for a specific client according to their need and preferences , it is addressed by name to the client , a client usually goes to an agent/operator to develop a tour plan
So, what is the difference between general and personalized itineraries ?
general itineraries are presented as an attractive package including popular destinations to the public through newspapers , radio (marketing)
personalized itineraries are not used to market tours for other clients , it is very specific about the schedule

1: have an interesting heading
2: show dates and times clearly
3:draw special interests to highlights
4 provide as much info as possible
5 use 24 h format
