How could Tourism Marketing be described or defined?
Tourism is out of discretion and optional choice which determines on many different reasons for travelling from one place to another which isn’t in your own area or city. Tourism can come In two different forms (domestic tourism & international tourism)
What is the difference between a Product/Good and a service?
A product/good is a tangible physical object. Whereas a service is something that exists that is intangible as you cannot use it for personal use or consumption.
What are the three different types of competitive advantage related to Tourism Marketing?
Global/worldwide country destinations
Local cities, regions, community townships
Businesses from different internal locations
What is destination marketing and what does a destination image refer to?
Destination image is the value, concept of peoples ideas and beliefs and the brand image and consumer perception of what the destination and location will be like. E.g., certain, beliefs, knowledge, and impressions/
What are the different types of tourism sectors?
- Accommodation
- Adventure Tourism and Recreational activities and events - fun, thrill and enjoyment/excitement.
Attractions- scenic- view and visually appealing and beautiful (rustic or modern). - Events and conferences e.g., work meetings.
- Food and Beverage (F&B)
- Tourism services and the travel trade- transportation.
What is hospitality?
Hospitality is the relationship and connection between a provider/host and guest/customer.
