A

Controlling tourist access = used to regulate and control numbers of tourism to what isn’t damaging, eg Daintree river ferry which carries max 700 cars a day, only 7% of the great barrier reef can be accessed by tourists to prevent degradation and preserve the environment

Environmental education = educating tourists on the significance of a region to moderate tourist behaviours and prevent them from damaging areas, also multilingual interpretation in many areas to reinforce expected behaviours

A

Financial contributions = any visitor the the GBR of Daintree must pay a fee. On GBR fee is $4 per visitor per day which goes towards environmental management. For Daintree it costs $32 for a return trip across the river to access it which goes towards conservation

A

Controls on tourist developments = any proposed developments have strict controls over it, to make sure there will be no harmful impacts on the reef or rainforest. Eg any resort must have and extensive environmental monitoring system and any new development should be sympathetic to the environment.
