What was flogging?
Victim would be publicly tied to a pillar their hands bind and they would be whipped.
What was burning at the stake?
A person tried to stick with dry wood around them. Dry wood would be set alight. Person would burn to death.

It took around a half hour for the victim to lose consciousness
What was the rack?
Victim was tied down to mechanical device with their hands out one end and their feet at. With a turn of the wheel, the victim’s body was tightly stretched till joints were ripped off.

Victim would have their feet burnt by coals while tied to a wooden bench with their feet in stocks.

Victims hands would be tied behind their back with rope would and be lifted off the ground by the rope, dislocating their arms .
What is tortua de Agua?
Victim bind to rack with head lower than body. Water was forced into their mouth and the victim would risk suffocation if they not confess to the crime.
