Under tort law, batter is an act that was intended to and did cause offensive or harmful contact to plaintiff’s person.
Assault
Under tort law, assault is an act that is intended to and does cause reasonable apprehension of an immediate battery.
False Imprisonment
Under tort law, false imprisonment is an act or omission that intends to and does cause the confinement of plaintiff to a bounded area of which plaintiff is aware or injured by.
Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress
Under tort law, IIED is the intentional and actual causing of severe emotional distress to plaintiff by defentant’s extreme and outrageous condcut or recklessness as to the effect of his conduct.

Under tort law, trespass to land is the intentional and actual physical invasion of plaintiff’s real property.
Trespass to chattels
Under tort law, trespass to chattels is the intentional interference with the property of aother that results in actual damages to the property or dispossesses the plaintiff of the property.
Conversion
Under tort law, conversion is the intentional interference with the property of another that results in damages tothe property serious enough to warrant payment of full value or dispossesses the plaintiff of his property.
Defamation
Under tort law, dafamation is the use and publication to a third person of defamatory language which concerns plaintiff’s and causes damage to his reputation.
Invasion of right of privacy - Appropriation
Under tort law, invasion of privacy by appropriation of plaintiff’s name or picture is the unauthorized use of same for defendant’s commercial advantage.
Invasion of privacy - Intrusion
Under tort law, invasion of privacy by intrusion is the act of prying or intruding into plaintiff’s private affairs or seclusion which would be highly offensive to a reasonable person.
