What is body articulation? (Syllabus definition)

A

The ability of a dancer to isolate and combine individual body parts to communicate a desired intent. Articulation is the skill of moving body parts independent of others. Skilled dancers can articulate several body parts at a time, varying in tempo and dynamic control.

What is falls? (Definition)

A

A complete release of the muscles as the body gives in to gravity. Any part of the body can fall. There is always a part of the nodal that acts as a supporter or stabiliser, except with selective falls that end in full body release. Falls require skill and coordination to be performed safely and lots of practice is needed to technically correct.
