  • Homologous chromosomes find each other
  • DNA breaks are introduced (synaptomental complex assembly begins)
  • Crossing over occurs (synaptomental complex assembly complete)
  • Chiasma visible (synaptomental complex disassembles)
  • Chromosomes condense nucleus envelope breaks down and we are ready for Metaphase 1
