what is:
the highest common mutiple
the lowest common multiple
e.g. Find the HCM and LCM of 30 and 45.

A

= the small numbers (that appear in both big numbers) x together (how many times it appears in both numbers)
= all of the prime number of both numbers x together. however, they have a common number, you only add it to the sum once.

e.g. prime factors of 30 = 2, 3, 5
prime factors o 45 = 3, 3, 5
HCM = 3 x 5 = 15
LCM = 2 x 3 x 3 x 5 = 90
