Q

Describe the construction of an electromagnet

A
  • Connect a battery to a insulated wire
  • Turn it into coils and wrap them around an iron core
  • When current passes through, electromagnetic field is created

Q

Explain how electromagnetism is used in a motor?

A
  • Current flows through the wire to create electromagnetic fields
  • Then the force causes the wire to rotate with the direction using left hand Fleming rule.
  • Resulting in a simple motor
