What is a suspension?
A solid that does not dissolve in a liquid
What is a solute?
A solid that dissolves in a liquid solvent.
What is a solvent?
A liquid that dissolves a solid solute.
What is a solution?
A mixture of a solute and solvent.
What is the filtrate?
The clean liquid that passes through the filter paper during filtration.
What is the residue?
The solid left on the filter paper.
What is the distillate?
The solvent that has been retrieved after distillation.
