there were 500k members of CWA (Concerned Women in America) which outnumbered NOW.

Had long running TV show ‘Old Time Gospel Hour’ broadcasted on 225 TV stations and 300 radio stations

He raised millions of dollars for RR’s presidential campaign and Moral Majority. Registered 2 million voters.

What were RR’s beliefs?
- Rarely attended church but supported the school prayer, which SC ruled against in 1962
- opposed darwinism and wanted creationism to be taught in schools
When did Rel. Right become disappointed with RR?
After he failed to endorse ‘Family Protection Act’ which would have prohibted abortion, ended school prayer and enforce single sex sports at school etc.
How was RR’s social conservatism reflected?
Enforced nearly 400 conservative judges to judiciary at end of George Bush’s presidency, with 3/4 of judiciary being conservative

- used reformed sinners to advertise the cause
