What is the mandate from heaven?
It is the idea that a leader could rule as long as the gods judged his actions to be in keeping with the natural order of the universe. This meant ruling with wisdom, justice and balance
What is feudalism?
Feudalism is when the ruler allowed nobles to control and use much of the king’s land in return for paying taxes and providing soldiers. The nobles then divided the land among the peasants, who could farm it in return for working on the nobles’ property and serving as soldiers if needed.

Seven states remained-Chu, Han, Qi, Qin, Wei, Yan and Zhao
