A push factor is something that will make you want to leave somewhere E.G poor quality of life and a pull factor is something that will make you want to go somewhere E.G better job oppertunities
Explain the reasons why cities in Developing countries such as Kampala (Uganda) are growing?
In bigger cities the job opportunities are better as they can get a highly skilled well paid job meaning they will have a better quality of life. Also there are too many babies being born than there are people dying.
Explain the reasons why some cities in Developed countries such as New York and London are
growing?
Lots of people would want to live in these places as the jobs are more likely to be highly skilled well paid jobs. Also these places also trade globally and are a big influence on other places.
Contrast the growth in New York and Kampala – are there different reasons?
The growth in Kampala is for people looking for a better quality of life and natural migration where as in NYC lots of people already have a good quality of life but people are looking for more and people will come from all over the world to seek a better life in NYC
Explain the reasons why some cities in Developed countries such as Detroit/Hull are shrinking?
Because in Detroit all the wealthier people moved out leaving a lower tax for the gouvernement and there are not any good jobs or services where people can make a living.

Formal employment is an official employment that meets legal standards for accounts and taxes and workers pay and conditions.

Explain how the economy changes as a country develops (developing- emerging- developed) to
consider: formal and informal, sectors (P, S, T, Q), working conditions etc
As a country develops they become more globally known so they may get more trade from different countries around the world. This will mean the quality of life will be better as there will be more jobs and services due to globalisation.
