What is a flood plain?
It is the area water will run into if the river it surrounds floods
What does permeable mean?
It means water can be sucked in and goes into the ground
What does relief mean?
It is the height of something
What do you find in the upper course of a river?
Vertical erosion and weathering
What do you find in the middle course?

What do you find in the lower course of a river?

What is traction?
It is when large rocks are dragged along the bed of the river
What is solution?
Dissolved chemicals that are invisible to the eye are being carried along
What is suspension?
When tiny particles of sediment are carried in the rivers current
What is saltation?
Small rocks and pebbles are continuously raised and dropped to the floor which creates the skipping sensation called saltation
