- LoN investigated awarded Mosul to Iraq not Turkey
- Turkey agreed with decision

Corfu

A

1923 - Failure
- Borders between Albania and Greece had not been properly determined
- Therefore Italy sent a general to supervise
- Greeks killed the general which lead Mussolini to invade and occupy Corfu - killing 15 in the process
Article 12 + 15: Originally Mussolini’s actions condemned alt Greece advised to pay compensation
Britain - Agreed with Greece + wanted to send warships against Italy
France - Backed Italy
Conclusion: eventually Greece ordered to pay 50 million lire and apologise for its actions
27th September 1923 - troops removed from Corfu

Bulgaria

A

1925 - Success
- Greece invades Bulgaria after a border dispute left dead troops
- League investigated and ruled that Greece was in the wrong
- they would have to leave Bulgaria as well as pay them £45,000 in reparations for the invasion

A

1929
Britain and France: undermined their ability to stop the disputes due to weaknesses in their economies. E.g. 2.75 million Brits unemployed and coal industry ruined
Nationalism - lead to an increase in nationalism from Germany, Italy and Japan due to their economic states
- example: Japan invaded Manchuria due to lack of resources
